I‘m an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout where I teach courses in the Professional Communication and Emerging Media Program, including Writing for the Internet, Science Communication, Writing Technical Manuals, and Visual Rhetoric.
My research explores the intersections of the public understanding of science and rhetoric, particularly in the context of science and natural history museums. I am currently working on a book-length project entitled Science in the Science Museum, which is based on extensive research at museums across the US and Europe. I’ve presented this work at numerous conferences, and portions of this work are under review at Rhetoric Society Quarterly, Museum and Society, and Technical Communication Quarterly.
